A Movement for Eliminating Violence Against Children

Change your facebook profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same. Until Monday (December 6), there should be no human faces on facebook, but a stash of memories. This is for eliminating violence against children.

This was the status that I saw the moment I logged on Facebook last night. I was excited to relive some of the best cartoons during childhood, most of which belong to the Notable Animes in the 90s.

It is a happy yet nostalgic experience to remember the cartoon series we all used to watch when we were little. If you haven't changed your profile pic yet, do so now, it's only Wednesday.. do it for the children. ;)

My Blog Revamped!

After going through a number of layout change and months of stagnation, I decided to reboot this blog. There's not much to see here as of the moment as I only take the time to edit stuff during my free time.

Sad to say I had to trash my supposedly new blog because blogger has more free features. What I have to pay at wordpress I can get for free at blogger. And I hope it stays that way! Haha.

Some of the features aren't working yet and `will update in time. ;)

Brownies!

My birthday gift to one of my best buds, ging Lhove..
Had nothing to post so I just uploaded this. Haha!
Been really busy with work lately that I don't get to do my hobby - drawing. I have this sketch that I had with me for years and I still haven't finished it yet. I always plan to complete it every Sunday but I only find myself sleeping all day. :D

Ciao~

Where is ZX Lotus Now?

One month has passed since ZX Online PH was shut down. Weeks before that, many of us were already thinking what game to transfer to. When ZX closing was announced, our master Chris told us to try out the new game about to be released by PWI. Initially, several clanmates downloaded the game client and tried it out. But I was among the ones who stayed with ZX til the last minute. I was not ready yet to try a new game. It would seem like having an instant new boyfriend after you just broke up with your ex. ;p

Anyways, I downloaded Heroes of Three Kingdoms after a few days. I tried it out and at the beginning found it boring because there was no talisman feature! So I went back to playing ZX even though I was the only person online in our clan. When there was no choice left, I went back to HOTK.

Luckily, my former clanmates were eager to teach me every step of the way namely master Chris, Richard, Lenin, Johnver, Jule, Mots and Aldrin. I began to love the game. There were lotus too who were there but did not last and moved to Jade Dynasty instead. Very few were left but we were joined by new recruits coming from different parts of the world - mostly Pinoys too.

I know that the original members of ZX Online Lotus Clan were divided between HOTK and JD. But the people I come to know more are in HOTK. And I hope some of those in JD would transfer too BUT that may just be wishful thinking. There are some things in HOTK that seem too hard for someone who got used to the friendlier features in ZX.

With my ForeplaY family, all of them returned to RF Online - my real life buddies that is. I can never really miss them as I see them almost everyday in our tambayan cafe. XD But the name "Foreplay" has been carried on to HOTK with Aldrin as the head. ;)

We may not be together, but you will always be in my heart.

Goodbye ZX.. and Lotus..

Merely eight hours ago I was happily doing Battleground with some of my clanmates until a world chat hit me hard in the face. It said that ZX was closing down in five days. Naturally, my reaction would be "just another rumor". But the player confidently said to read the forums for the official announcement. I quickly visited the forums both frightened and worried about what I was going to see there.

When I saw the latest post to be coming from a CM, I felt a quick stab in the heart. I read the thread over and over again to absorb if what I was seeing was real. "We are closing ZX Online within 5 days".. This took me a few minutes to fully understand those words.. I know this was going to happen, but its sudden announcement was what I could not believe.

Closing ZX. At the sight of these very words, I felt close to tears. It wasn't because of the money, time and effort I spent in game. Neither what I was going to leave behind. But WHO.

My gaming experience in ZX Online will never be comparable to the other games I played for one huge reason, The Lotus Clan.

A lot of people in our clan became my friends for more than a year. There are some whom I've known since we were lowbies in the game. But there are clanmates too who were new but I was able to mingle with them for some time. Sadly, we may not be able to find a game that will have us all in the clan play together.

I'll miss the game, but I'll miss the players even more.

Thank you Lotus for everything. Words are not enough to express how much I grieve for its loss...

I will be making some videos about ZX and Lotus..
